Position Summary
This position will train, guide, and support team members engaged in the preparation and processing of military personnel records related documents into the Automated Records Management (ARMS) system. Support the organization in its mission to help change lives through the power of work.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Train, motivate, and support, Records Database Management Associates while performing the same work. Ensure work is completed accurately and in accordance with contract requirements.
- Pick up and distribute daily incoming ARMS mail as appropriate.
- Verify the accuracy and quality of document images and make corrections as needed. Elevate issues to the ARMS Asst. Project Manager when necessary.
- Code, correct, sort, and prioritize documents in preparation for processing into ARMS.
- Batch and correctly identify documents using C Star editor and document identification tables.
- Enter the proper information from each document into ARMS for the batch being indexed
- Perform accuracy and quality checks on indexed files and corrects errors.
- Research, correct, and re-process non-retrievable, illegible, and incorrect images when notified by customer.
- Work closely with government personnel to ensure the ARMS database is accurate and correctly maintained.
- Respond to inquiries or direct callers to the proper Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR)
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and responding to questions and/or concerns in a positive, professional, and friendly manner.
- To accommodate business needs and management objectives other duties may be assigned by a management member.
- 1 years of experience performing work using similar skills and knowledge as well as supervisory experience.
- 2 years of experience performing work using similar skills and knowledge as well as supervisory experience.
- Previous experience in records management and leading teams preferable.
- Military experience or experience working within the military environment helpful.
- OR equivalent combination of education, experience and/or military training.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
- For positions that require driving, must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, and be able to travel as needed if you drive your vehicle during company business.
