POSITION EXPECTATIONS
Position Expectations
The E-Commerce Associate pulls, sorts, researches, takes pictures, lists upscale donated items, and provides customer service in the sale of merchandise online to meet production goals.
Responsibilities
- Assists in sorting of E-Commerce totes received from the Retail Stores, Attended Donation Sites, and the Distribution Center to determine if they will be posted online, sent to Deja Blue, or returned to the Retail Store.
- Performs constant internet research on pricing and accurate descriptions of merchandise to be sold online on Shopgoodwill.
- Takes pictures or downloads pictures of merchandise for online listing on Shopgoodwill in accordance with daily set goals.
- Measures, weighs, and notes details of merchandise.
- Ensures accuracy on assigning appropriate category or quantity of merchandise listed on Shopgoodwill.
- Shelves listed merchandise on the appropriate rack and ensure appropriate alphabetical and numerical location sequence.
- Conducts Pre-Scanning of incoming raw book/media to meet production and sales goals using a computer scanner and software and determines whether an item is acceptable for online listing.
- Fills rolling tables with rejected books and media to be sold in the Clearance Center.
- Creates totes of mixed media to be distributed to the retail stores
- Generates inventory slips for listed books.
- Generates packaging and shipping labels and postage by utilizing a web-based software system.
- Sorts shipments per USPS and International shipping vendor guidelines.
- Ensures all orders are packaged properly and ship in a timely and efficient manner to meet preset goals.
- Determines the best method of shipment according to the classification of items bought and ensures accurate shipping rates.
- Assists in any other projects as determined by management.
Education, Experience, and Requirements
- High school/ GED completion preferred.
- Proven reliability in meeting attendance expectations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software including a strong emphasis on Word and Excel and Internet.
- Must be able to continuously perform repetitive work, at a set pace.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Exhibits a high level of integrity and business ethics.
- Exhibits a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
Environmental Factors
- Duties will be conducted at the warehouse, or other assigned Goodwill locations where no cooling or heating will be available. Exposure to extreme heat, cold, dust, animal hair and sometimes humidity.
Physical Factors
· Able to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
Prolonged standing, walking, reaching, stooping, lifting, pulling, bending, kneeling.
