**Expected start date: June 16, 2025
**Duration: 8-12 weeks - based on business needs.
General Summary: The Human Resource Assistant provides administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the HR department. This role includes assisting with day-to-day HR tasks and serving as the first point of contact for visitors and callers to the main office.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Help organize and coordinate HR projects, meetings, and events.
- Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests and direct them to the appropriate person.
- Creates employee badges for both new and/or current employees.
- Receives all Goodwill Customers with a responsive and respectful attitude at the door and over the phone. This includes donors, shoppers, employees, vendors, visitors, and participants.
- Tracks all messages to our home office, including but not limited to, mail, phone, email, contact form via website and sends a monthly report to leaders.
- Applies postage to outgoing mail; sorts and distributes incoming mail; log checks. Maintains postage meter and copy machines, ordering service and parts when necessary.
- Inputs financial donations to the donor database and prepares donation ‘Thank you’
- letters for the CEO to sign.
- Assists with HRIS (new hire review, password reset, survey launch)
- Process employee letters and pay card communication.
- Produces a variety of reports in support of the HR department including but not limited to, compensation, retention, performance management, employee headcount.
- Completes employment verifications requested on current and former employees.
- Participates in projects, as integral part of the HR project team.
- Contact HR external vendors to report problems with software/systems where appropriate.
- Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive employee information, participants or volunteers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn database programs.

Required education and/or work experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.
- Prior administrative or HR support work experience is a plus.

- Ability to maintain a stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment, mostly indoor office environment.
- Ability to move freely throughout the facility and lift, push or pull up to 20 lbs.
