General Summary:
Supervise and support team productivity with guidance from manager, to meet established revenue and margin goals. This role contributes to the DGR purpose, to build skills and change lives in each of our communities while generating funds to support Goodwill of SCWI’s Mission.
Supervisory responsibilities:
- Assists with recruiting, interview tours, and training employees.
- Supervises the daily workflow of donations, production and store.
- Provides coaching and supports constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Documents corrective actions of employees for Manager’s approval.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Consistently perform all duties within the framework of our Core Values.
- Provide best in class service by greeting customers/donor and inviting to return, coaching all employees to do the same.
- Monitors customer service and sales staff productivity while operating a register, assigning tills, using proper cash controls, troubleshooting and maintaining efficient customer flow.
- Monitors donor service and donor staff productivity using GRATIS to professionally Greet, offering pre-signed and dated Receipt, Assisting donors safely, Thank and Invite to donate again, and Sort product.
- Ensures effective production flow and production staff productivity while producing product, moving donations, trash or salvage to maximize SL and HL output, spot checking quality and price to maximizes the value of our donations.
- Delivers a fresh and full store, monitoring staff productivity while placing out a continuous flow of new product according to merchandising guideline, salvaging product and completing assigned floor moves.
- Trains staff and supports development as a mentor, providing actionable and constructive feedback in the moment, as part of creating a collaborative work environment.
- Sets the example by following safety and asset protection standards, coaching employees to do the same. Reports concerns to management.
- Accurately enters report data, identifying variances and trends to the management team.
- Assist with HRIS management functions including payroll, scheduling, labor hours, reviews, as needed.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills to interact with employees and the public.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Travel Required: Travel up to 5%.
Required education and/or work experience:
- 2 or more years of retail or production supervisory experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A post-secondary degree can be used in lieu of work experience.
