SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department in various tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards. This role is essential for maintaining financial records and assisting with the preparation of financial reports.
Please Note : This is currently a temporary position. Continued employment is contingent upon continued funding.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Utilize automated accounting system to perform the following functions : bank reconciliations, posting of store sales, cash receipts, and invoices billed to third parties. This list is not all inclusive.
- Prepare invoices for billing. Distribute to third parties as designated.
- Review Purchase Order Requests and generate Purchase Orders for distribution in a timely manner.
- Maintain open communication with Store Managers in order to assist with questions / discrepancies regarding store reporting and / or purchase orders.
- Audit store reports. Research errors or omissions.
- File and maintain accounting back up paperwork and / or reports.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
