What you will do:
You will demonstrate company values at all times. You will be responsible for providing overall supervision, coordination, and scheduling of construction activities and all facilities maintenance matters. You will construct projects according to drawings, specifications, project schedule and budget. You will complete work orders in a timely manner based on organization needs. You will establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will develop and ensure subcontractors comply with project master schedule, review and update schedules, and forecast cost cash flow with Executive VP of Operations. You will maintain appropriate field documentation including safety, progress reports, rental records, logs etc. You will organize and hold weekly subcontractor meetings, department meetings, and be able to self-perform work as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Stand, Bend, Reach, Stretch throughout entire shift
- Frequently lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Maintain a sense of urgency while working in fast-paced environment
- Work in variable environmental conditions
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage all field operations of projects in order to achieve timely completion in accordance with design, budget, quality control, safety, and schedule
- Directly supervise subcontractors and Maintenance staff
- Conduct risk assessments and implement proactive measures to mitigate project risks and ensure a safe working environment
- Work closely with consultants and vendors to solicit, review, and execute contracts in a timely manner
- Evaluate the local code requirements and permitting processes and schedule deadlines accordingly
- Ensure the routine maintenance and upkeep of all machinery, buildings and landscaping for all facilities.
- Effectively manages departmental staff (hire, train, develop evaluate, coach, apply corrective actions and terminate as necessary) following company policies and standards
- Coordinate with outside design professionals for engineered drawings and specifications
- Prepare applications and associated pre-application documents for submittal
- Monitors, oversees and provides weekly project status reports
- Prepares and oversees P.O.s, submittals, invoices, subcontracts, change orders, insurance requirements, and project paperwork
- Manage estimating process
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Follow all Company policies and procedures
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction
- Minimum 5 years of experience reading and interpreting architectural and engineering plans
- Familiarity with construction document requirements for commercial projects
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deliverables, and competing timelines
- Working knowledge of the design and permitting process
- Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating and budgeting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar project management system a plus
- Excellent writing, communication, time management, and interpersonal skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Must have a current valid Arizona driver’s license and have a driving record acceptable and within policy standards according to our vehicle insurance company
