ECOMMERCE SHIPPER FULL TIME

Description

The E-Commerce Shipper is responsible for shipping merchandise sold through Goodwill’s E-Commerce unit and assisting in customer related tasks. The position is a member of the Retail Team. 

Specific Duties

1. Follow all Goodwill policies and safety procedures.  Must possess professional etiquette.
2. On each shift, pull all paid jewelry to prepare for shipping.
3. Notify supervisor immediately if an item is not able to be located. Any late shipments must be communicated prior to shipment moving into a late status.
4. Pack items sufficiently to ensure that there is no damage during transportation.
5. Ensure all items which are fragile or cost more than $80 are insured.
6. Ship all packed jewelry the same day.
7. Schedule pickups with U.S. Postal Service or appropriate shipper for the next morning and place packages in appropriate locations for pickup.
8. Ensure workspace and supplies stay neat and organized.
9. Ensure sufficient supplies are available through timely notifications to manager. This includes completing a Uline order log once per month.
10. Assists with customer service as needed. This includes updating addresses, special requests, information on damaged packages, return labels, and related tasks when specified.
11. Legible handwriting.
12. Keeps work area and surrounding area neat, clean, and orderly.
13. Regular attendance is required.
14. All other duties as assigned.      

Qualifications

1. Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers. 
2. Must be computer literate and have knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
3. Must have and maintain a positive attitude.
4. Basic knowledge of safety and caution with unknown items and/or variables.
5. Ability to work well in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.
6. Must be able to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including nights, weekends, and occasional long hours.
7. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs. frequently.
8. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 lbs. occasionally with assistance.
9. Ability to engage in prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking.
10. Ability to engage in frequent bending, stooping, and stretching.
11. Vision corrected to within normal limits.
