JOB SUMMARY
Receive goods donated at the Goodwill Donation Centers. Work at various locations as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & SUPPORT
Provide excellent customer service to donors.Receive donated goods from donors at the donation center. Assist donors with unloading cars and carrying merchandise. Provide receipts to donors.Sort merchandise according to category and place in designated containers.Assist truck drivers with loading and unloading trucks.Abide by all company policies and procedures.ANCILLARY JOB FUNCTIONS
Report any known potential losses and work to protect Goodwill assets.Keep accurate records of total donors daily.Maintain cleanliness of the donation site.Adhere to safe work practices and report any unsafe conditions or actions.Perform other related duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.High school diploma or equivalent.One year or less of work experience.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Clear verbal communication skills and ability to give and follow written and oral instructions.Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions.Ability to use good judgment and think quickly and rationally in difficult or stressful situations.WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Exposure to moderate noise levels.Subjected to varying, inclement outdoor weather conditions when accepting donations and loading or unloading trucksLifting up to 40lbsclimbing stairs, bending and standing periodically and oftenPHYSICAL ABILITIES
