As a Driver you will operate a 1 ½ ton truck. The Driver is responsible for providing a welcome greeting for all donors. DMV and company guidelines must always be observed. Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers - Tifton, GA 

Full-time 

The Tifton retail store, located at 1915 Larkin Rd., is currently looking for a hard-working and dedicated Driver.

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc.’s Driver responsibilities: 

• Maintains vehicle logs and daily trip sheets according to all company procedures.
• Reports any mechanical problems, delays, accidents, and/or other traffic and transportation situations to the leadership team.  
• Loads and unloads trucks, vehicles, containers, and trailers by hand or with the use of a hand truck, lift gate, and/or pallet jack during pick-up and drop-offs.
• Conducts daily preventative maintenance checks, before, during, and after operations, and adheres to all safety regulations.
• Cleans the inside of the assigned vehicle daily, and the outside, as needed. 
• Report concerns to the leadership team immediately. 
• Pads, stacks, and secures items in position on the truck to prevent damage during transit. 
• Works other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.

You will be hired as a Driver, however, you will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work in all areas of the retail operation. 

A part-time position averages 20-25 hours per week. Hours will fluctuate based on business needs (i.e., seasonal changes, donation volumes, etc.) Operating days will fluctuate based on the store location. The Driver must be available to work any shifts Monday through Sunday. 

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Prior experience in a retail environment may be considered in lieu of education. 
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. 
• Valid Driver's License. 
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report
• Previous commercial driving experience preferred. 
• Prior forklift experience, is preferred. 
• Warehouse experience is preferred.
