Job Description
Goodwill Industries of the Summit is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SUD Case Manager to join our Substance Use Disorder program. This full-time position plays a vital role in supporting individuals through their 16-week journey toward recovery, empowerment, and self-sufficiency. The ideal candidate will be skilled in case management, report writing, and program coordination.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to develop individualized service plans for program participants.
- Provide ongoing case management, including goal setting, progress monitoring, and adjustments to recovery plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date participant records using Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
- Facilitate group and individual meetings to promote recovery and peer support.
- Coordinate referrals to community resources such as housing, employment, education, and healthcare services.
- Prepare detailed monthly reports to track participant progress and program outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with program staff, clinical professionals, and community partners to ensure holistic support for participants.
- Advocate for participants, helping them navigate challenges related to substance use, housing, employment, and mental health.
- Ensure compliance with all program policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field required.
- Minimum of two years experience in case management or working with individuals with substance use disorders preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Knowledge of local resources and support services for individuals in recovery.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Windows, and Outlook, as well as have a working knowledge or familiarity with case management software.
- Must have valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation for off-site meetings and participant support (as needed).
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older and have ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen.
