Job Summary:
The Mission Mobile Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Goodwill Industries of Tulsa’s Mission Mobile program, which serves as a mobile outreach tool to enhance accessibility to programs and services for Tulsans, expand Goodwill’s reach beyond Tulsa, and raise Goodwill’s public profile. This role ensures that the Mission Mobile is effectively utilized as a point of entry for individuals seeking various services, including financial education, employment resources, volunteer income tax assistance (VITA), and more. The coordinator will work collaboratively with internal departments, as well as community partners and stakeholders, to maximize program impact.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive the Mission Mobile to designated locations and ensure its proper setup for events and outreach activities.
- Assist on-site by answering basic program and service questions, distributing materials, and helping individuals connect with relevant resources.
- Actively engage in community outreach by coordinating with local organizations, workforce development agencies, and other partners to schedule events and expand program reach.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Mission Mobile program, including scheduling, responding to inquiries, tracking engagement metrics, and ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained.
- Promote Mission Mobile events through social media, community engagement, and marketing materials in collaboration with other members of the Marketing team.
- Represent Goodwill at community events, job fairs, and networking meetings to enhance visibility and impact.
- Ensure the Mission Mobile unit is stocked with necessary materials and compliant with safety regulations.
- Explore opportunities to utilize the Mission Mobile unit for employee services, such as benefits enrollment support.
- Assist with grant writing and funding proposals to support Mission Mobile initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in community outreach, program coordination, or mobile service delivery preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse populations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to utilize data tracking systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel within the Tulsa area.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and set up materials for outreach events.
Work Environment:
This position requires regular travel within the community and the ability to work in various outdoor and indoor settings. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on event schedules.
