Wage: $21.00 to $24.00 per hour
Job Summary:
The Job Developer develops and maintains relationships with local employers to find subsidized and unsubsidized employment opportunities for program participants and monitors employment worksites and program participants according to Mission Services program policies and procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop job leads by contacting potential worksites via in person, on-line, and by phone.
Follow up with leads in person or virtually.
Coordinate interviews and assist with interview practice prior to interviews.
Complete worksite required paperwork and participant on-boarding if needed.
Follow-up with participants while on worksite, and complete evaluations if necessary.
Provide participants with resources that will allow them to be successful in programs.
Lead workshops and activities that teach guide participants to being successful at the workplace.
Document all activities and case notes utilizing in CaseWorthy.
Assist participants with job search once WEX or previous employment ends.
Follow-up with participants while in retention services and provide supportive services as necessary.
Compose a list of worksites interested in partnering with Goodwill.
Present to employers and Community Based Organizations on the services and benefits of collaborating with Goodwill.
Communicate with Mission Department of any worksite opportunities and needed worksites.
Develops and continues relationships with employers, community organizations and leaders to assist participants in gaining and/or maintaining employment.
Adheres to program standards and outcomes as outlined in program policies/procedures, program contracts, and referral and accreditation agency standards.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to speak/read/write proficient English.
Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish).
Proficient with Microsoft Office/Office 365.
Ability to market and place individuals with disabilities, lack of skills, negative work history, justice-involved, and/or multiple barriers to employment.
Knowledge of the local labor market.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Works well under pressure and with deadlines; ability to multitask.
Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Honesty, integrity, reliability, punctuality.
Thorough knowledge about companys mission and services.
Uphold compliance with all legal, health, and safety guidelines.
Required Experience:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and or abilities required for the position. Individuals must be able to pass a criminal background. Individuals must have a valid drivers license, liability insurance, insurability under the agency insurance carrier, dependable vehicle and a clean driving record.
Bachelors degree or experience in job placement/staffing.
Valid driver license and insured/reliable vehicle.
Background check.
