POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE OF POSITION: Janitorial Worker
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Store Manager
STATUS: Non Exempt
FUNCTION: Responsible for day-to-day janitorial services at the Goodwill Store
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Must exercise prudent judgment with cleaning and cleanliness standards
2. Must utilize proper chemicals for cleaning/sterilization
3. Performs general cleaning outside of the building including but not limited to; weeding, sweeping sidewalks, salting and shoveling sidewalks, and washing windows.
4. Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, squat, bend and pull as part of daily routine
5. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
6. Performs general cleaning of buildings including; dusting, dry and wet mopping, restroom sanitation, replenishment of dispensers, vacuuming, window cleaning and general floor care.
7. Must complete all procedures in a safe and efficient manner
8. Must notify supervisor immediately of all emergencies or unusual situations
9. Must know where to find and how to use MSDS sheets
10. Must be able to work from a ladder for cleaning, bulb replacement on ceiling lights, hanging signs, and painting.
11. Performs other duties as assigned by the Store Manager, Assistant Manager, Shift Supervisor, and the Donated Goods and Retail Director.

1. Maintains a good working relationship and provides excellent customer service to all consumers, staff, customers, and supervisors
2. Has respect for the feelings of others, is courteous and possesses the ability to build effective internal and external relationships
3. Complies with all established work rules, policies, procedures and safety rules
4. Represents the organization in a professional and courteous manner
5. Is able to educate stakeholders and community about the entire agency
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Positions Supervised: None
Education: High School diploma or GED preferred
Must be able to read, write, add, subtract, multiply & divide
Experience: Some experience in janitorial operations preferred
Certifications: None
Other Requirements:
Must be able to perform tasks including the use of Mop, Broom, Vacuum Cleaner, Dustpan Floor Scrubber (where available) and any other tool or equipment needed to perform cleaning tasks

Pay: $11.50 per hour
