What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker position at Goodwill Industries of Wayne/Holmes Counties?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
*Jobs are piece-rated, Training wage for the first two weeks. Can make up to $18.00 an hour piece rate. You get paid per piece you make in this Sub Assembly Position. the more over quota you make, the more an hour you make. If you are fast with your hands, this is the job for you! Part Time, Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m to 1:30 p.m. or 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. shifts. Full time , Monday - Friday 7:00a.m. - 3:30p.m.
- Hand and arm manipulation needed. Most jobs are small product and need hand and finger manipulation to be able to perform.
- Ability to maintain quality and make rate while meeting production standards.
- Operates the machines used in the department per instruction of the supervisor.
- Handwork-labeling, sorting, assembly, disassembly, packaging, inspecting, collation and other manual functions needed to complete contract jobs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must be able to bend, twist, turn, stoop, push and pull.
- Report any accidents, or unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
- Keep area clean and orderly throughout the work day.
- Must be able to use compactor and bailer per instructions of the supervisor.
- Must be able to push and pull, and use a hand pallet jack per instructions of the supervisor.
- Must be able to complete own production sheet
- All other duties assigned by the Production Manager, Production Supervisor or a member of Senior Management
