Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, dynamic professional Aftermarket & Salvage Sales Manager to join our team! The Aftermarket & Salvage Sales Manager is a leadership level role performing a variety of duties to achieve our common goal of sorting and selling items from our retail and warehouse salvage inventory. This position is the lead management role within the Aftermarket & Salvage sales department and ensures all departmental goals are achieved and identifies strategies for an efficient business plan within the department. This role will offer strategic guidance to aggressively grow the aftermarket and salvage sales department by analyzing market trends, developing, and growing partners, and consistently implement initiatives that will increase the growth of the operation. We serve Kentuckians who have disabilities or experience other challenges finding success in the workforce, such as criminal backgrounds, language barriers, limited education, lack of transportation and chronic poverty.Job Type : Full-time, Non-ExemptEssential Duties and Tasks : Management and leadership : Develop and maintain business planning and strategic initiatives, lead and scale newly developed business within the organization.Oversee and forecast salvage sales supply chain and logistics efforts. Keep operation lean and always operating at maximum efficiency.Report to organizational leadership on department activities and milestones, maintain relationship and communication with all retail leadership. Manage and conduct all reporting measures for the department. Deliver a superior brand and client experience by leveraging sales, marketing, technology, strategic insights, and leadership skills. Discover new and manage current vendor relationships, drive customer satisfaction and returning customers.Production : Maintain established productivity goals for the department without a loss of quality of work.Tracks production output as well as production levels and records on appropriate forms. Predicts sales and production flow. Marketing & Sales : Manage strategic partnership relationships.Oversee the execution and development of all marketing initiatives to increase sales. Maintain the online brand image and user experience Make decisions using market research and vendor requests on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.Assist in the coordination of donation acquisition strategiesOther : Performs other duties and projects as assigned.Education and Experience : High school diploma or GED, required. A minimum of five (5) years of experience working in operations and / or textile, sustainability operations, and / or secondhand.A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in material handling, logistics, and operations.Experience in aftermarket sales and service capacity, preferred.Previous leadership and management experience, preferred.Experience with inventory management and warehouse technology. Previous experience in managing a team of 10 persons, preferred.Physical Demands : This job may have physical requirements that is considered medium work. Medium work involves sitting for short periods of time; constant bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, visual acuity, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.Travel to other locations beyond the assigned work location is occasionally required.
