What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Employment Specialist ISE position at GOODWILL OF CENTRAL AND COASTAL VIRGINIA INC?
2. Conducts periodic file audits to ensure compliance with SourceAmerica, CARF and agency standards. Maintains key document due date list.
3. Identifies and develops employment opportunities for program participants utilizing informational interviewing, job negotiation, job carving and customization.
4. Creates, organizes and updates employer network database on a regular basis.
5. Assists Program Manager with on boarding and training new team members.
6. Assists Program Manager with maintaining working relationship with referral sources.
7. Provides technical assistance and provides recommendations to Employment Specialist to aid in improving program participant quality of work performance, quality of work experience and job retention.
8. Provides full array of Supported Employment Services as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-3 Years' experience in a related field required.
- Membership in National Rehabilitation and/or Workforce Development Professional/Job Seeker Services Certification preferred.
- Valid state driver's license, insurance and satisfactory driving record are required.
- Required to pass state and federal criminal background and sex offender checks. Depending upon contract specifications, may also be required to pass CPS and LEIE background checks and other background checks as necessary.
- Ability to operate PC and databases. Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook.
- Minimum of 1 year direct experience working with persons with disabilities and/or barriers to employment to identify, obtain and/or retail employment opportunities, required.
