Position Summary
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization. This role requires an understanding of GAAP, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Essential Duties(Other duties within the scope of this position may be assigned.)
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
2. Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger accounts.
3. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with policies.
4. Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
5. Perform daily cash reconciliations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The associate in this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related major preferred.
- 2 Years' experience in a related field required.
- No professional certifications are required for this position.
- The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
- Associates in this position will be required to successfully pass both state and federal criminal background checks and sex offender check.
- Ability to operate PC and databases, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and knowledge of accounting systems, required.
