POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director will oversee the operations of the Client Services department, ensuring services meet the community's needs in our region. This position will play a crucial role in this process by providing leadership in cultivating and managing community partnerships, ensuring effective service coordination, and supporting staff development. This role includes overseeing intake and outreach functions and managing community-based workforce development facilities to engage participants and optimize service delivery. Additionally, the Director will manage projects, contracts, and budgets to meet departmental goals and achieve measurable outcomes. The Director will integrate industry best practices and innovative solutions into operations, strengthening service delivery and distinguishing the organization from local providers. The Director will help shape the department's long-term strategy and drive its growth by fostering
collaboration across teams and engaging with external stakeholders. In collaboration with the Senior Director, the Director will use data to identify emerging needs and guide the expansion and diversification of funding opportunities to address them. This position requires regular travel within Pittsburgh, PA and to Morgantown, WV, as well as other location as needed across Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania and North Central West Virginia, to oversee
operation, foster community engagement, and support program development.
Duties will also include but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage projects with strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Analyze and solve complex problems using critical thinking and innovative approaches.
- Conduct site visits to community-based facilities in Pittsburgh and Morgantown to support staff, oversee operation, and strengthen partnerships.
- Provide strategic leadership and supervise individual and team performance within assigned areas to ensure alignment with departmental goals and overall organizational direction
- Identify and secure potential funding sources, prepare financial forecasts, and monitor spending to ensure funds are allocated efficiently and aligned with program objectives. Ensure compliance with all reporting requirements to support transparency and accountability
- Ensure that appropriate data collection, documentation and reporting is completed and submitted to internal and external sources, including data required to maintain licensure and accreditation
Schedule: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Friday (Hours may vary depending on department needs.
Travel: Travel to Goodwill sites in Western PA and North Central West Virginia
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree AND 4 years of experience in human services working with diverse populations, required
- Master’s degree AND 2 years of experience in human services working with diverse populations, required
External Hiring Range: $62,920 to 65,436.80
