What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager Retail position at Goodwill of the Southern Alleghenies Inc?
Job Purpose:
To assist the Manager with the day-to-day store operations and store performance. Responsible for the
opening/closing of the store, daily bank deposits, keeping register stocked with adequate change, addressing
customer/donor needs/complaints in the Manager's absence. Supervises store employees.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Two years of retail sales experience and one year of supervisory experience
Clearances:
Must be able to obtain acceptable results for required background checks, including Act 151Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania Criminal History Check and Department of Human
Services- FBI Fingerprints.
Supervision Received:
The Assistant Store Manager functions under the direct supervision of the Senior Store Manager or Store
Manager.
Supervision Exercised:
The Assistant Store Manager, in the absence of the Senior Store Manager or Store Manager, supervises all
associates working in the retail store.
