JOB SUMMARY

JOB SUMMARY
The Program Manager will oversee the day-to-day staffing, operations, and performance of the Work Experience Program for students with disabilities near completion of services in public school districts while providing a quality work environment for employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the delivery of services to special education students
- Ensure adequate staffing coverage at all sites, at all times, with a willingness to provide coverage if needed
- Coach, mentor and train all trainers/classroom instructors ensuring their ability to meet the needs of participants
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet program quality and compliance standards
- Determine appropriate curriculum needed to prepare participants for success in the workplace
- Review quarterly reports and case notes to ensure the accuracy of the content, and that case note procedures are followed
- Follow-up on case file audits completed by the Compliance Specialist by working with the team to make all recommended changes promptly
- Create professional development and training plans for trainers/classroom instructors
- Plan and lead staff meetings
- Visit each Work Experience and training sites weekly
- Recruit, hire, develop, supervise, and evaluate all Workforce Readiness Programs
- Build positive relationships with retail managers and liaisons at community-based work sites
- Continually assess and identify community needs through strong relationships with schools and other agencies
- Identify methods to build efficiencies within the program and all trainings/skills classes offered to the community
- Monitor program budget and operate within budget guidelines
- Oversee new student orientation at the beginning of each school year for Work Experience
- Work with internal and external partners to place students in additional training or permanent jobs after graduation of the Work Experience Program and completion of trainings and skills classes provided to all participants
- Demonstrate sound decision-making skills by keeping participants safe and engaged in programming
- Identify ways to promote and grow the Work Experience program as well as growing and expanding all trainings and skills classes offered to the community
- Promote and ensure mission integration through education, communication, and positive relationship-building
- Meet or exceed program outcomes/expectations as defined in the Program Evaluation efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction measures, and CARF requirements
- Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and students
- Assists in the onboarding of new employees as necessary
- Contribute to program sustainability through efficient use of physical, financial, time and people resources
- Immediately report all critical safety incidents to Director of Programs and VP of Mission Advancement
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, education, or related field preferred
- Five or more year’s supervisory experience in a human services, rehabilitation, or educational setting preferred
- Six or more years experience in a human services, rehabilitation, or educational setting preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- First Aid/CPR Certification
