JOB SUMMARY
The Retail Floor Care Supervisor is responsible for ensuring floor care operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner at Goodwill’s retail stores through hands on work and supervision of the crew.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure cleaning duties are performed in a timely and professional manner
- Effectively recruit, hire, develop, supervise, schedule and evaluate staff
- Observe proper safety precautions in use of equipment and supplies and application of chemicals
- Complete paperwork and generate reports as needed
- Spot checks buildings to ensure they are locked and secure
- Assist in the performance of daily custodial duties
- Sweeps, damp mop, spray buffer or shampoo floors
- Strip, scrub, seal and wax floors as necessary to maintain a uniform, glossy appearance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and Goodwill safety policies and procedures
- Operate within monthly budget and maintain supplies
- Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position
- Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers and participants
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma/GED required
- Two (2) to three (3) years custodial experience in a supervisory capacity preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Maintain valid driver’s license and be insurable
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Must be able to use equipment and chemicals in a safe manner
- Possess an understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Must have a thorough knowledge of proper cleaning procedures
- Must be aware of OSHA safety regulations
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
