What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Associate position at Goodwill SC?

Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers and donors upon entering the store, fostering a positive associate/customer relationship.
- Provide excellent customer service, bag merchandise, answer phone calls with the correct Goodwill greeting, and handle store returns accurately.
- Receive, stock, tag, count, and inventory merchandise in a timely manner.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks from the distribution center.
- Stock and merchandise textiles, electronics, furniture, housewares, exercise equipment, and other hard goods while ensuring their safety and compliance with recall lists.
- Perform general housekeeping, custodial, and janitorial duties as scheduled and assigned.
- Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- Fundamental reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- Prior retail experience is preferred.
Physical Demands
- Daily requirements may include climbing, balancing, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, stooping, kneeling, handling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
- May be exposed to dust and odors.
- May require working outdoors for limited periods.

Work Schedule
- As assigned by store location.
- May be required to work nights and weekends.
