Job Summary

General Responsibilities
- To extend excellent customer service to shoppers and donors.
- To foster a mutual associate/customer relationship that enhances the profitability of Goodwill Industries.
- To establish positive relationships with clients and associates to successfully implement Goodwill's mission services.
Specific Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers and donors upon entering the store.
- Bag merchandise, answer phones with the correct Goodwill greeting, and handle store returns accurately.
- Receive, stock, tag, count, and inventory merchandise.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks from the distribution center.
- Stock and merchandise textiles, electronics, furniture, housewares, exercise equipment, and other hard goods to ensure safety and compliance with Consumer Product Safety Recall guidelines.
- Perform general housekeeping, custodial, and janitorial duties as scheduled and assigned.
- Complete all other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Functional reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- Previous retail experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Daily tasks may include climbing, balancing, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, stooping, kneeling, handling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
- May be exposed to dust and odors.
- May require limited work outdoors.
Safety & Security
Responsible for following all safety, security, and money handling procedures as directed by Goodwill policy. We strive to maintain a safe, secure, and ethical work environment.
Work Environment
- As assigned by store location.
- May be required to work nights and weekends.

Each associate is expected to present a fashionable, neat, and clean appearance that reflects Goodwill's positive image in the community.
