POSITION OVERVIEW:
The eCommerce Technician is responsible for managing the online sales process by identifying high-value items and ensuring efficient order fulfillment. This position plays a critical role in supporting Goodwill Southeast Georgia’s mission by maximizing revenue from donated goods through digital platforms. The eCommerce Technician collaborates with leadership teams, maintains a clean and organized work environment, and fosters a positive and professional atmosphere.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Mission Alignment: Exemplifies Goodwill Southeast Georgia’s mission, vision, and values in all aspects of work, ensuring a positive impact on the community and organization.
2. Product Evaluation: Sorts, evaluates, and identifies high-value items suitable for online sale, ensuring safe packing of product for transport.
3. Inventory Management: Monitors, organizes, and tracks eCommerce inventory, ensuring accurate records.
4. Team Communication: Collaborates with store leadership and the eCommerce leadership team, attending training sessions, monthly meetings, and contributing to operational improvements.
5. Safety and Organization: Maintains a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to company policies and safety guidelines.
6. Positive Work Environment: Fosters a positive and collaborative work atmosphere by communicating respectfully and effectively with coworkers, leadership, and customers.
7. Performance Metrics: Tracks and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) for online sales, contributing to strategies that drive growth and profitability.
8. Continuous Learning: Stays informed on eCommerce trends and platform updates, leveraging new insights to enhance operational efficiency and customer engagement.
9. Other Duties: Performs other related duties as assigned, supporting the overall success of the eCommerce operation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong knowledge of jewelry, collectibles, and art. Ability to use online forums to research items to determine appropriate value.
- Past e-commerce experience preferred.
- High school diploma, GED or any job-related experience that will provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Computer skills, knowledge to navigate through online sales portals, payment systems, shipping systems, and online value sites.
- Experience using a digital camera or cell phone camera.
- Eye for great picture taking to pictorially describe items.
- Creative writing skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to learn quickly and retain information.
- Ability to work in collaborative team environments.
