Objective and Primary Responsibilities / Summary
The Warehouse Work Experience Trainee is a temporary work experience position that provides the participant an opportunity to learn the basic tasks and skills of the position. Participants are placed at a variety of work sites and each experience is unique in skills attainment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Utilizes safe practices to properly assist drivers with loading and unloading of bins.
Creates loads for drivers as assigned.
Load and unload trucks/trailers. Segregating goods and trash.
Ensure all items are marked correctly and placed in the correct location.
Sort recyclables in proper containers (metal, plastic, cardboard, etc.).
Learns and operates under supervision basic warehouse equipment following established standard operating procedures and guidelines. (i.e. pallet jack, hand truck, furniture dolly).
Clean, organize and sweep the warehouse to ensure a safe environment.
Ability to lift and carry min. 25 lbs.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
This position is a temporary position.
