What are the responsibilities and job description for the Absence Management Coordinator l 10370 WC & LOA Administration position at Goodwill Southern California?
The Absence Management Coordinator directly supports the Absence Management team with day-to-day priorities and deliverables. This role is responsible for tracking daily deliverable completion for team and providing status reports, point person for all walk in questions or concerns,, legal record request handling, and meeting/training preparations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform claim, leave and accommodation reporting as directed. Data must be accurate, complete and timely. Analysis of data may be required.
Open and date stamp mail for department daily. Scan all items as appropriate. Forward key correspondence to assigned Specialists as appropriate. Process all record requests and subpoenas.
Initial point person for all department walk-ins at assigned campus. Answer questions, document complaints or requests, work with assigned Specialist or Director as applicable and maintain a documentation of all issues needing resolution.
Engage employees and guests with a positive professional demeanor at all times.
Monitor department fax and email for newly received medical notes and updates.
Coordinate Program Interrupt leaves of absence, initiating off work time in HRIS, sending confirmation letter to participants, tracking RTW and processing return dates in HRIS.
Maintain master LOA file and accrual utilization elections for submission bi-weekly to Payroll team.
Support employee or participant drug tests.
Support team in completing EDD SDI and Unum STD insurance form completion as needed.
Maintain weekly team list of all agreed upon action items. Follow up with team on urgent items.
Support all labor law posting WC updates and MPN changes.
Support Annual Health Fair with planning/preparation and event participation.
Support Director with projects or research as needed.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education & Experience:
1-3 years of Human Resources experience, recruitment experience preferred.
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred.
Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
Must be able to work with all levels of employees and general-public with extreme courtesy.
Abilities to multi-task and highly organized.
PC proficient and familiar with social media platforms.
Non-profit experience preferred.
Spanish / English bilingual preferred
