Sr. Director / Vice President of Workforce Development
Summary Description
- The / VP / Senior Director of Workforce Development is responsible for fully implementing the Division of Workforce Development service delivery model.
- Reports directly to Goodwill SOLAC’s President and CEO and is responsible for the management, supervision and coordination of all workforce development staff, programs, and service delivery systems to assure job training and job placement outcomes are achieved for participants.
- Provides supervision and day-to-day guidance to the Workforce Development Director of Programs and other workforce development staff who do not report to the Director of Programs or Director of Innovation and Funding.
- Acts as official agency representative to various local American Job Centers of California (AJCC), governmental referring agencies, Chambers of Commerce, and other entities as assigned by the President and CEO.
- Provides administrative support to the Goodwill Workforce Development Committee (WDC) and assures the charges and responsibilities of the WDC are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provides similar support functions to other agency committees or workgroups as assigned by the President and CEO.
- There is some travel required to the various AJCCs, local training sites and to other related business sites.
