Job Summary: At Goodwill, we're seeking a skilled and compassionate Deaf Services Program Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our LifeWorks program, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with unique needs in our residential, deaf, or community service programs. Your expertise in American Sign Language (ASL) fluency will be essential in providing exceptional care and services to our clients.
- Assist the LifeWorks Program Manager in the operation of our programs, ensuring all service recipients' needs are met.
- Respond to urgent matters related to service recipients, employees, and the facility in the absence of the LifeWorks Program Manager.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- American Sign Language (ASL) experience
- Prior work experience with persons with challenging behaviors
- Certification and licensure as determined by program requirements
- Valid driver's license permitting operation of a vehicle in the State of Maine with a satisfactory driving record
- Evidence of high school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
- A criminal background check that meets Agency standards
Preferred Qualifications: If you have:
- Direct Support Professional Certification (or College of Direct Support)
- Active CRMA, CRMA 40 Preferred
- NAPPI or Behavioral Intervention Certification
- Active CPR/First Aid certificate
- One year of supervisory experience in a residential or day program setting
