You will play a crucial role in our team, delivering exceptional customer service and efficiently managing donations. Your key responsibilities include:
- Inspect, Accept, Track, and Sort Donations: Ensure all donations reach their intended destinations.
- Outstanding Customer Experience: Greet donors and provide assistance when needed.
- Operate Power Equipment: Safely handle power equipment to organize and store donated goods.
- Categorize and Sort Merchandise: Maintain order by sorting merchandise into correct categories, ensuring quality and value.
- Load and Unload Materials: Assist in preparing donations by loading and unloading materials into containers.
- Efficient Donation Processing: Process donations throughout the day, keeping our donation site organized and efficient.
Minimum Qualifications:
- We seek team members with strong math and reading skills who can support daily operations.
- Flexible Schedule: If you're adaptable and can work varying hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, we'd like to have you on board.
- Positive and Friendly Attitude: Bring positivity and a smile to create a fantastic work environment for everyone.
- Clear Background Check: A criminal background check is required to ensure agency standards are met and a safe work environment is maintained.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or Certification: Prior experience or certification in light manufacturing, processing, or warehouse work is an asset.
- Thrift or Used Goods Experience: Any prior experience with thrift or used goods processing is beneficial.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Completion of high school or equivalent qualification (GED, HiSET) is considered a valuable achievement.
