Key Responsibilities
- Lead bar operations to enhance profitability, uphold beverage laws, and mitigate risks.
- Assist in research and development for menu innovation and implement seasonal beverage updates across various locations.
- Manage the design, setup, and execution of custom bar menus for banquet events.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director to coordinate liquor activations within the venue.
- Address and resolve concerns related to service or beverage/food quality.
- Carry out general floor management responsibilities as needed.
- Monitor staffing levels relative to sales to ensure efficient labor management.
- Improve cost-control strategies by overseeing purchasing, conducting accurate inventory checks, managing surplus stock, and reviewing weekly sales performance.
- Participate in monthly inventory assessments to guarantee precise tracking.
- Organize and lead beverage training sessions with the Food & Beverage Director each month.
- Create educational programs for team members, covering menu items, product knowledge, and ongoing learning.
- Handle bartender scheduling, including hiring, training, meetings, and managing time-off requests to maintain proper staffing levels.
- Maintain real-time beverage cost tracking through invoice and sales data entry.
- College degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with computer proficiency.
- At least five years in food and beverage service.
- Extensive experience managing bars, particularly in high-volume settings with craft cocktail programs.
- Physical capability to move throughout the restaurant and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate restaurant and office equipment with precision.
- Must thrive in fast-paced and high-pressure situations, responding effectively to both visual and auditory cues.
