CNC Machining Supervior - 2nd shift

We are looking for an experienced CNC machining professional to supervise the new second shift in Charlotte, NC. Reporting to the President, this role requires hands-on CNC machining expertise, supervisory skills, and a commitment to quality production and continuous improvement.

CNC Machining Supervisor Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the second shift CNC machining team (2-3 machinists), ensuring quality and timely completion, mostly of medium-to-large lot jobs.
• Operate and manage 1-2 CNC turning or milling machines while overseeing the performance and output of other machinists.
• Conduct in-process inspections, load/unload parts, perform daily maintenance, and uphold workspace housekeeping standards.
• Train less-experienced machinists, fostering productivity, quality, and professional development.
• Maintain and report production goals, quality standards, and shift productivity.
  
  

CNC Machining Supervisor Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on CNC machining experience in precision or discrete parts manufacturing.
• Proficient in CNC programming, setup, troubleshooting, and operations within a custom machining environment.
• Willingness to relocate to the Charlotte area immediately if not already local.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing 3-5 employees in a non-daylight shift environment, achieving deadlines and quality targets.
• Familiarity with job shop ERP systems (preferably JobBOSS2).
• Hands-on experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or Esprit is preferred.
• Proven success in CNC machining and supervisory roles, focusing on quality and continuous improvement.
• Strong commitment to personal and team development, bringing motivation and drive ("fire in the belly") to support growth in a rapidly expanding company.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, meeting production, cost, and profitability goals.

• Salary range is $30 - $50/hour, based on experience
