- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and engineer overhead and underground electrical systems, focusing on distribution projects from 4.16 kV to 34.5 kV.
- Develop and maintain technical specifications, material standards, and construction guidelines for T&D projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Manage capital project scopes, including budgeting, material planning, quality control, and project closeout.
- Create and update engineering drawings and records for new installations and maintenance work.
- Provide engineering designs and material specifications for large customer service installations and distributed generation connections.
- Support ‘Make-Ready’ projects for communication installations and oversee contractors and consultants providing engineering services.
- Contribute to system restoration and storm response efforts as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (BSET degree also acceptable).
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Maine preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in utility distribution or transmission engineering systems (preferred but not mandatory).
- Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on technical excellence.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Knowledge of T&D systems up to 345 kV, with emphasis on distribution networks.
