- Oversee food preparation, inventory, and cost controls while ensuring authenticity and innovation in every dish.
- Monitor and manage labor, food, beverage, and supply costs to achieve financial goals while maintaining culinary excellence.
- Collaborate with management to create seasonal menus and specials that showcase traditional and contemporary Japanese cuisine.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and health and safety standards.
- Mentor and train kitchen staff, fostering professional growth and a positive, energetic work environment.
- Promote a welcoming and respectful atmosphere for both guests and team members.
- 3-7 years as an Executive Chef in upscale or fine dining environments, specializing in Japanese cuisine.
- Proven track record of creativity, leadership, and operational excellence, particularly in Japanese culinary techniques and ingredients.
- High-level organizational abilities and the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards.
- Strong tenure and dedication to professional growth within the culinary industry.
- Passion for excellence and consistency in every dish.
- Proficiency in kitchen management software (knowledge of Toast preferred).
