Responsible for overseeing preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, life safety systems, and utilities across the property. Ensures all operations meet corporate and regulatory standards, safeguarding assets, guests, and associates while managing departmental budgets and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of engineering HR: hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and policy enforcement.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs and ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes.
- Manage service requests and coordinate with contractors for repairs and maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and building issues; maintain life safety systems and monitor utilities.
- Prepare departmental budgets, manage expenses, and approve purchasing within budgetary guidelines.
- Maintain operational records, schedules, and documentation.
- Serve as Manager-on-Duty as assigned.
- Education: 1–2 years post-secondary or technical certificate in building maintenance or related field.
- Experience: 5 years in building maintenance, including leadership experience.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving, planning, resource coordination, and communication skills. Knowledge of maintenance systems, safety standards, and compliance protocols.
