We are an innovative and exciting Social Casino and Sweepstakes Sportsbook which recently launched our platform in the United States. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our in-house accounting team in the Tampa, FL area. This role will be essential in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, assisting with tax documentation, collaborating with external accountants, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Staff Accountant Responsibiliries:

• Maintain and update the general ledger, recording daily financial transactions.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data, promptly resolving discrepancies.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Prepare and analyze variance reports, identifying trends and areas for concern.
• Support the development of budgets and forecasts through data analysis.
• Oversee the preparation and filing of 1099s for Player Sweepstakes winnings.
• Process vendor invoices accurately and ensure timely payment.
• Manage customer invoicing, process payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Track and reconcile accounts to support the company’s cash flow management.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and practices.
