About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Analyst, Business Insights & SalesPlanning to join our rapidly growing CPG brand.

Your objective as Senior Analyst, Business Insights & Sales Planning is to develop and maintain a variety of sales analytics and forecasting processes that are both usable and scalable. You will own the sales forecast, trade analysis and reconciliation, and have a key role in all S&OP functions. You will be pivotal at identifying market opportunities, crafting our future-looking commercial strategy, as well as identifying and narrating a best-in-class customer story alongside our sales team. You will be the support system between sales and operations in our mission to drive operational excellence.

This role will report to the Chief of Staff, and should be based in Atlanta (hybrid role, 1.5 days a week).

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Forecasting and Trade Management:
    • Build, manage, and upkeep a comprehensive sales forecast with inputs from Chief of Staff, as well as VP, Sales
    • Manage and assist finance in analyzing and reconciling trade events across all brick-and-mortar retailers
    • Utilize and own trade planning tool (Confido or the like)
    • Support Chief of Staff, VP, Sales, and CFO to track key sales financial KPIs to identify strengths and opportunities
    • Assist Director, Supply Chain and CFO in generating bottoms-up demand plan model
    • Build and manage Amazon and DTC forecast with VP, eCommerce Digital Media and Chief of Staff.
  • Business Insights & Data Analytics:
    • Build and maintain monthly syndicated dashboards utilizing SPINS, Nielsen, and IRi inputs
    • Build and maintain granular weekly retailer dashboards to drive tactical insights into key customers (84.51, POL, Luminate, etc.)
    • Build and maintain post-promotion analysis reports to drive recommendation on future price-package strategy
    • Build and maintain on-hand inventory dashboards to support S&OP process
    • Create and upkeep category analysis dashboards/trackers to inspire pricing, innovation, and commercial strategy recommendations
    • Interpret and present on consumer panel data to help frame brand positioning in the category and beyond
    • Support all customer engagements with compelling sales materials and one-pagers to equip sales team with the resources they need to be successful
    • Support Omni-Channel marketing team by assisting with the development of tools to measure against KPIs
  • Sales Operations
    • Manage supplier platforms to include but not limited to: SPINS, GS1, One World Sync, Retailer Portals etc.
    • Support VP, Sales, Chief of Staff, and Broker network to set up trade events
    • Assist with new item paperwork for new retail launches and SKU expansion across key retailers
    • Complete EDI paperwork with operations and finance teams to ensure correct retailer setup
    • Assist in the completion of all “back-of-house” sales operational tasks that improve the function and performance of the greater team
Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (emphasis in business/marketing or related fields such asfinance/economics, business analytics, or supply chain management)
  • 3-5 years sales experience with fast-moving consumer goods (CPG), foodand beverage and/or beauty, wellness/ personal care products in NorthAmerica
  • 3-5 years of experience in Planning / Analytics function (CPG preferred)
  • Experience with a CPG or durable company, ideally in channel management,brand management, insights,or sales
  • Experience developing a multi-year forecast/plan or approach and executingat least one year of the forecast/plan
  • Familiarity with S&OP processes and supply chain operations
  • Innate curiosity and obsession with sales, category, and consumer trends
  • Excited to work in an ever-changing and fast-growing environment. Willing to
  • support the team however is needed
  • Ability to take current processes, improve them, and implement change
  • autonomously with limited direction
  • Advanced Excel proficiency with experience building dashboards and models
  • from raw data
  • Experience working with SPINS, IRi, and Nielsen
  • Experience working with consumer panel data
  • Proficient in delivering data in a clear, concise, and consistent format
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google Suite
  • Brick and mortar retailer portal experience is preferred
