Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed
- Participate in training sessions on food safety, culinary techniques, and kitchen operations
- Proven experience in food preparation within a kitchen or restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to prepare meals that cater to specific dietary requirements
- Proficient in using kitchen equipment, including knives, ovens, and mixers
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated
- Strong communication skills to interact with staff and clients effectively
- A background in the culinary field or experience as a dietary aide is preferred but not required
