Barton House seeking a dedicated and skilled Dietary Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals that meet dietary guidelines and cater to the specific needs of our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety practices, meal preparation techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed
• Participate in training sessions on food safety, culinary techniques, and kitchen operations
  
  

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation within a kitchen or restaurant setting
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
• Ability to prepare meals that cater to specific dietary requirements
• Proficient in using kitchen equipment, including knives, ovens, and mixers
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated
• Strong communication skills to interact with staff and clients effectively
• A background in the culinary field or experience as a dietary aide is preferred but not required

Pay: From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
