Food Service Experience preferred.
We are looking to add a full-time Cook to our Dining Services Team. We are an Independent Living Retirement Community. Our Cooks report to our Head Chef and ensure that our Residents & Guests enjoy their daily Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & Bistro menu items. We are looking for a Cook to work from 10:30a-7:00p with alternate weekends included. Must be able to keep our food fresh, hot and served in a timely manner. We use a table to a kitchen ticket system. Must be able to pass a Background
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes - Ensure food is cooked and presented in an appetizing manner
- Monitor food stock levels and indicate items needed to order
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation
- Assist with special menu events as needed
Skills:
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or catering setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to ensure meals are prepared on time
