Position Description :
The Linux Systems Administrator will be a member of the Global IT Infrastructure Services organization, responsible for professional and technical work related to hosting services. This is an advanced service supporting role, primarily responsible for both the transitional and operational tasks and duties in support of our Linux environment as well as providing automation to the environment using tools such as, Ansible / Terraform. Additionally, you will work with scripting languages (bash, perl, python) to perform more advanced tasks.
Principal Responsibilities :
- Regularly monitor the performance of Linux / Unix systems using various monitoring tools. Perform system maintenance tasks such as patching, upgrades, and backups to ensure data integrity and system security.
- Perform Automation tasks using tools such as Ansible / Terraform.
- Provide technical support for system-related issues to other teams and users. Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems to ensure minimal downtime and loss of productivity.
- Implement security tools. Apply necessary updates and fixes.
- Develop scripts to automate routine system administration tasks to improve efficiency and accuracy.
