Goose Masters provides humane, environmentally safe Canada goose control with highly trained working Border Collies. Established in 2004 Goose Masters clients include schools, retirement homes, parks, home owners associations, golf courses, and office parks. Our unique, green solution is a win-win for property owners and animal lovers as the geese are never harmed but are persuaded to move off our clients properties with our dogs.
About the Position:
Handlers of these highly trained dogs, must be willing to deter Canada Geese both on land and in the water. Traveling over 100 miles per day in a company car. Individual must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and pass a background check. Hours vary based on goose activity. 75% of the job will be conducted outdoors in all types of weather.
Employees must be able to house a work dog and keep a company car on their property.
Individual must be able to run social media accounts, create sales marketing, and support relationships with clients.
Job Functions and Duties include:
Travel to client facilities in company vehicle deterring geese away from properties
Maintain client facilities where geese feces may be present
Maintain logs
Maintain the company vehicles (keeping vehicles clean inside and out)
Be comfortable handling and maintaining the training of the working dog
Inspect and clean equipment regularly
Run social media accounts and marketing
Useful Experience/Qualifications:
Parks and Recreation or lawn care background
Experience working with wildlife
Handling working dogs
Comfortable on the water in kayak
Time management
Independent worker
Able to lift 60 lbs.
Organized and Detail oriented
Management skills
