Air Drill/Planter Recon Technician
About The Position
Department: Service
Reports to: Service Dispatcher
Supervises: N/A
Purpose
Reconditions and services air drills and planters around the Gooseneck Implement service area. Will also prepare and install technology upgrades on designated equipment.
Responsibilities
- Reconditions and assembles all types of seeding equipment and merchandise offered for sale by the dealership.
- Prepare and install technology upgrades on designated equipment.
- Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required.
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and timely fashion.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
- Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.
- Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties.
- May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
- Ability to work away from home, including overnight stays 1 to 3 nights a week.
- Ability to assemble machinery components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to use basic computer functions.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
- Submission of driving authorization for insurability check.
- Willing to train individuals with a desire to learn and a strong work ethic.
