Responsibilities:
- Follow all applicable traffic laws and regulations.
- Operate vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently, considering road conditions and traffic.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly secured and balanced.
- Verify loads for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain a log of cargo deliveries and pickups.
- Perform vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify any mechanical issues.
- Report any defects or needed repairs to the appropriate personnel.
- Keep the truck and associated equipment clean and in good working order.
- Communicate with dispatchers and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
- Report any incidents encountered on the road to the dispatcher.
- Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, obeying traffic laws and regulations.
- May need to read maps or use navigation systems to plan routes.
- May be responsible for acquiring supplies or equipment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- General knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
- Class A CDL with clean driving record.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Experience hauling heavy equipment.
- Basic knowledge of running agricultural and construction equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy chains and other items.
