Position Summary
Assisting the Branch Manager / Loan Officer(s) by building and maintaining a positive relationship between all parties throughout the mortgage loan process and after closing, and to ensure future incoming business. Monitoring the status of applications and stays in constant contact with others involved in the application process to ensure that files are moving through the approval process and closing in a timely fashion. May include other business development activities.
About This Position
This is an in-person position.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Initiates and maintains communication and build strong relationships to maintain old business as well as acquire new clients.
- Stay in communication with customers to update them on loan status.
- Setting up and maintaining loan file organization, taking applications when directed to do so, returning phone calls and seeking signatures on documents where applicable for preparation of files for processing.
- Help to keep the Loan Officer organized, answer phone calls, takes messages, create calendar invites for meetings, closings.
- Assisting in reviewing conditions and HUD Closing Disclosures.
- Develop and maintain CRM database to actively engage, educate, and develop relationships with real estate agents and other referral partners.
- Prepare and submit expense report.
- Other miscellaneous duties and tasks as specifically assigned by the Branch Manager/Loan Officer.
Other Duties May Include:
- Collaborate with Branch Manager to create communication strategy.
- Act as Branch Manager’s representative to ensure that her client’s demands are met with a focus on improving their experience.
- Maintain the Loan Officer’s social media and web page.
- Assist with open houses and social events.
- Prepare marketing packages for real estate partners.
- Assist to create presentation materials.
- Travel and in-person appts to all types of referral partners in order to gain their business.
- Collect and analyze data about referral partners and the process to measure the effectiveness of the communication to meet monthly goals.
- Represent Branch Manager at Chamber events, networking events and referral partners groups.
- Any additional projects/duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Adhere and comply with all applicable Federal and State regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- General banking knowledge.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Solid computer skills including Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel applications.
Education and Experience:
- 2-3 Years Mortgage banking experience preferred and/or required based on position details
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- General office environment.
- Sitting for long periods of time
- Using a telephone or headset for long periods of time
