Develop, implement, and maintain custom product application software in support of company strategic initiatives, business development efforts, marketing plans and departmental projects.

Perform functional testing and periodic analysis to ensure system quality and reliability. Design, deploy and maintain databases in support of the software initiatives.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Gorbel, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

Job Description

Analyze user needs, as well as business and technology requirements, and implement the appropriate, approved software solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner. Perform functional testing and periodic analysis to ensure system quality and reliability. Design, deploy and maintain databases in support of the software initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement software functionality in support of user requests and specifications for back-end development
- Develop new configuration functionality in support of new products as well as product line enhancements
- Participate on project teams and adhere to defined project timelines and budgets
- Provide quality assurance for own work as well as serving as a resource for cross checking other department member’s work
- Ensure adherence to engineering drawing best practices and suitable programming practices and methodology
- Maintain sufficient program documentation and revision control
- Create and maintain Gorbel product configurators including:
- Business/engineering logic
- Databases
- Enrollment in a 4 year Software Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree program
- Highly motivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines and high quality requirements
- Strong communication skills (Verbal & Written)
- Problem solving skills
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Sitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time
- Primary work environment is remote, with the option for work on-site. Occasional on-site meetings do occur.
