Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys is seeking a full time Attorney to join our team in Alexandria.

How will you make an impact?
The Attorney is responsible for providing clients with legal advice, guidance and representation.
What will you do?
- Manages cases from inception through trial.
- Communicates with clients, adjusters, medical professionals, opposing counsel, the Court, and your team in order to resolve cases efficiently and effectively.
- Investigates claims and gathers evidence.
- Documents injuries and expenses and reviews medical records.
- Drafts pleading, motions, and other legal documents
- Negotiates settlements.
- Strategic thinking in order to zealously advocate for all clients.
- Manages personnel, including training, coaching, hiring, and discipline.
- Assists with training personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education:
- Graduate of an accredited law school - Juris Doctor
- Licensed and in good standing with the Louisiana Bar
Experience:
- 3 years of personal injury experience
- Proficiency in case management software
- An understanding of medical treatment
- Ability to maintain professionalism and act ethically on behalf of the firm and its clients.
- Ability to collaborate with all levels of firm personnel and foster a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced computer skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Able to provide and receive information effectively and professionally
