What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant/Paralegal position at Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys?
The ideal candidate will ensure smooth running of the Attorney's docket and effective case management by providing specialized legal services. This individual will communicate frequently with the clients in order to serve them adequately. Additionally, this candidate will conduct necessary case research to aid the legal proceedings.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to Attorney
- Handle communication with clients
- Coordinate medical treatment for clients
- Maintain contact with medical providers for billing & supporting documents
- Draft discovery
- Ensure all tasks are completed and submitted in a timely fashion
Qualifications
- Experience as a legal assistant/paralegal preferred
- Knowledge of case management process preferred
- Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols required
- Bachelor's or Associates degree a plus
- Ability to handle high volume workload & stay organized
- Experience with calendaring for an Attorney or supervisor
Salary : $18 - $22
