Description
The registration clerk provides patients with a pleasant experience during registration, on the phone, and answering any inquiries patients may have. The registration clerk is responsible for greeting and registering patients, as well as verifying all patient information and insurance details. The registration clerk also collects co-pays, answers calls, and pages medical employees as needed.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Registers all hospital inpatient and outpatient services
- Runs Daily/Weekly Registration Reports
- Runs insurance virtual credit card payments daily
- Answers all facility telephone calls and directs them appropriately
- Gathers patient demographic information
- Verifies and accurately records insurance information
- Answers billing questions and receives payments
- Performs other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Customer service experience required.
- Scheduling experience preferred
