Workers’ Compensation Discovery Paralegal
Primary Responsibilities :
- Responding to discovery requests, including drafting objections and creating privilege logs
- Drafting outgoing supplemental discovery requests and tracking responses
- Creating and updating timelines / chronologies from medical records
- Requesting medical records and tracking responses
- Drafting correspondence to clients and opposing parties
- E-filing documents through the eJCC portal, including Petitions for Benefits
- Preparing and editing ‘merge’ forms from case management software, including motions
- Calculating the average weekly wage from wage records
- Compiling and preparing exhibit lists for trial
Skills Required :
Job Type : Full-time
Schedule : Monday to Friday; 8 : 30 a.m. – 5 : 00 p.m.
Supplemental pay types : Bonus pay
Experience : Florida Workers' Compensation Law : 3 years preferred, but not required
