A day as a Customer Service Representative will be varied and unpredictable: Customers, Managers, Drivers, and Technicians have different needs and appreciate your immediate attention. Your timely involvement will make a difference in their lives!
You are the first voice a customer hears on the phone, or the first smiling face they see when they stop in. You are “Gordon Water” to the Customer. Working collaboratively with Route Sales Drivers, Service Technicians, Water Specialist, Billing Department, and Customer Service Managers to deliver first rate customer service as a team. Customer Service Reps are the “glue” at Gordon Water. The position is multifaceted and quick-paced. If you are someone who enjoys a challenge and wants to be on a tight-knit team. This would be a good fit.
Customer care work (85% of the time)
- Greeting customers who enter the store
- Answering phones
- Entering customer orders into our database
- Creating work orders for Route Sales Representatives
- Creating work orders for Service Technicians
- Gathering information from potential customers for Water Specialist
- Performing basic water tests
- Advising customers on what type of filter they need
- Coordinating donation requests for community events
- Loading customer's cars with salt, water, coffee (depending on store location)
Clerical Work (10% of the time)
- Stuffing invoices for USPS mail
- Preparing FedEx orders for filters or coffee
- Opening and sorting daily incoming mail
- Maintaining Service calendar
- Maintaining Community events calendar
- Sales support activities
Light Housekeeping (5% of the time)
- Daily vacuuming of entry mats by doors
- Cleaning of glass entry doors
- Dusting/sanitizing the front desk area
- Restocking shelves
- Making coffee for customers and employee
Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent, certificate required
- Computer skills, basic keyboarding, excel spreadsheets, word documents
- Basic math computation skills
- 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred but not required
- Strong communications skills
- Can perform under negative pressure from a customer
- Demonstrate empathy with a customer, while adhering to company policies.
- Interacting with multiple teams each day.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
