Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, perform a variety of specialized, technical, and analytical duties related to recruitment and employment of certificated and classified personnel, terminations, classification and compensation, employee development and training, and employee & labor relations. Assure compliance with State and federal laws, and the Education Code. This position will evaluate transcripts and work experience for salary placement; respond to inquiries involving policies, procedures, regulations, and technical processes as well as other inquiries from the general public; manage recruitment processes, including the development of job vacancy notices, job notice distribution, applicant notification, and interview scheduling; review and preliminarily screen applications to assure application completeness, and that applicants meet minimum qualification standards; provide new employees with health and welfare benefit information; coordinate employment clearances, job-related physical examinations, as required, for new employees; process employment paperwork and maintain personnel files; respond to inquiries from employees and volunteers regarding fingerprint clearance procedures; Oversee and lead all aspects of the HRIS for the purpose of entering and maintaining employee data; prepare and update manuals; oversee subordinate staff administration of leave of absence and benefit administration; process sensitive information that requires a high level of confidentiality; work confidentially with discretion; assist other Human Resources staff as needed; and performs other duties as assigned.
